How close to Blenheim is this spot? Anywhere else around the area to ride? And is there anywhere rideable on a mountain board with a kite?

Can you tell me exactly where this is? I will be in Blenheim for three months and am keen to know any kiting spots. Is it actually on the Wairau River? What wind direction do you kite here etc? Ta Ceilidh (K-Lee)

we r kiting at rivermouth, its maybe not a nicest place 4 kiting but its probably one of the most windy places at NZ, most common winds r N NW, but at January and February sometimes the E or SE winds coming what is perfect 4 kiting at ocean in the waves. I am at Blenheim last 7 months and kiting from september.....the wind is gusty sometimes, but its windy almost everyday ( hope that it will stay like that )

we r now 2 kiters here, so if u want to join us just come to wairau and if its windy and its afternoon or weekend we will be there

Not far from Blenheim, heading south, there's also a nice spot just past the saltworks. Where the N/NW comes cross-onshore and quite clean.

Hey, thanks guys, this is great info. I was worried I wasn't going to get a kite for three months. I'll be down there mid March until late June, so I'll be hunting the spots down then. Alex, that's a great beach website, got all the good gen. Cheers Ceilidh
