Anybody kited Caroline Bay in Timaru during the summer? If so How is it? Wind speed? main wind direction, conditions? Will be down that way in about a month not sure whether to bring my gear or not.

i stop in there on the way back and forth btwn dunedin and chch often and have never seen it working in 15 years.

i think there are kiters in the area but I think they go elsewhere, to lakes mainly.

but i'm sure it does blow sometimes... 8)
harbour boosting, sideways buggying, harwood speed gps'ing, sometime kiteskiing, wave/washing machine kiting, gear breaking, driving about chasing the wind....
