if that was robby's plan - he sure did a great job. i see there are 20 entries in the 2004 NZ Windsurf Racing Nationals being held this week at Gulf Harbour. just a few short years ago it was common for there to be fleets of 100 + windsurf racers in this country (the same scenario now faced by kiters whenever they have contests, or indeed - go to the beach).

Hold the phone, sunshine. If kiteboarding was invented (by Robbbie Naish - which we all know is crap) to keep the dickheads out windsurfing, then presumably, windsurfing was invented to keep the dickheads out of surfing. If all these sports started off in Hawaii I would suggest that the Hawaiians won - they've managed to keep all the dickheads in the water. With the sharks. Social engineering, island styles.
