Thought you guys may like to know the kite surf comp in Mackay Aussie is going sweet.. For some reason they did not have heats today.. Seemed like ever one was just having fun on the water.

Started off bloody cold but sunny.. Strong SW winds (not normal direction) but great for inside the river mouth.

God that was a long time ago! I remember the flat water, and the nuclear sunburn. Such a sweet spot but..

How does one get there???? where in aus is it?

it's east point in mackay, queensland, fly there from cairns sydney or brisbane, great spot, very nice
