this was shot by local dunedin speed windsurfer paul vlietstra at awarua bay, invercargill today on his phone, he invited me to go but i had to work... which was probably a good thing.. he estimated 50knots when filming but the wind had dropped off by then!

looks like a typical Wellington zephyr, just throw up the 8m and ride it!

just don't do a Kev and drop it at the bottom of a 4m wave.... nothing quite like flying a kite shaped window into shore.
