starting to get real stir crazy with the severe lack of wind around here. any ideas?

wish para gliding was cheaper!

i've just finished a 3 day kiting bender ending with a two session day of 5-6 hours kiting

a little unusual for this time of year but..

prob too cold for you's guys down here, oh well, keeps the crowds at bay...

Including me the newbie landboarder with the broken wrist....just came back from todays session 13knts solid wind crusing on the board with me wrist in a cast. Couldnt get any better.

was windy here too, nobody bothered tho

Where you guys been! Estury been EPIC! Friday (i think or at least late last week) was KUNG FU weather to the max! gusty 20 to mid 20's northely. then what bouts sunday that was all G and last night, tuesday where was everyone? me nd tom out till way past dark in 2inch of water!

WOW! Ch-Ch has been unseasonally windy!
Friday morning 20-25 knot northerly, epic @ North Beach on the 9!
Missed the weekend kiting, but.....
Monday lunchtime hit 30 knots at the beach!!!!
Warm too......yee harrr!!!

took my camera for a swim on sunday

after that it got windier and windier, had to use my 13venom fully fully depowered

kinda tiring after having been out for 3hrs on my 17 that morning

Haha....another epic session, at the Pier today easterly 15-18 knots, sweet....can't last though, unseasonally warm & windy, be a big cold blast soon...who's for some snowkiting?

hey tim will be in QT in june/july what are the chances then of a little kiteing on the white stuff?

also any one know spots in QT where you can snowkite without having to go to snowfarm. i understand that it isnt open then anyway

Definately by July....Talk nicely to local farmers about access, Hectors Range just south of Queenstown seems to catch snow rersonably low, we still took the 4WD up till we could go no further, hiked the hill to it levelled out & got to the prevailling SW wind, then kited further up. We winged it as we usually do, talked to the guy at the garage about access, he put us in contact with the land owner.... plenty of terrain like that down there, just need to talk to people & look for the paper roads on a good map...
