This should be a great event the dates are Fri 6th-Mon 11th of June.
I think it would be fun for a goo kiwi crew to head over for the event. Airfares on Pacific Blue are pretty cheap if you book soon.
Fri will be free ride big downwinder. Sat & Sun- Board-a-X and freestyle events. Presentation night(big one) and Mon will be just fun, free rides, downwinders and fun park(kickers & sliders).
The Adrenalin Rush Sports Australia Kiteboarding Classic will be hosted by the Mackay Kiteboarding Association. In Mackay, June is our winter season where we see our South Easterly trade winds cranking through. It is still not too cold, but if you like, bring a long sleeve neoprene or thin wet suit.
This Competition will be run slightly different to most comps. Please make sure you are entering the correct division.

DIVISIONS

Pro Men: All guys 18yrs and over who are sponsored riders.

Open Men: All guys 18 and over not sponsored.

Pro Master: 35yrs and over sponsored.

Master: Over 35 not sponsored.

Pro Women: All girls of any age sponsored.

Open Women: All girls any age not sponsored.

Pro Juniors: 17yrs and under sponsored.

Juniors: 17yrs and under not sponsored.

Note: Some divisions may be subject to change if numbers are low.

RACING

Board-a-X: This event will consist of a Set course using markers and obstacles. The riders must make their way around the course using skills of both downwind & upwind tacking as well as jumping, flipping etc the obstacles as they go. This is a race and will be judged on the riders fastest time. This will be an awesome event so GO HARD and RIP IT UP!!

Freestyle: This event will consist or riders putting on a show of their most Favorite moves. The aim is to show a variety of moves on both tacks adding individual flair, smoothness, technique and power.
