Who had an awesome session at Orewa last night???? Apparently only 4 of us!!! where were ya'll?? Not that i'm complaining 4 sure is a great number of kiters for Orewa beach.

I would like to try that 7 link sometime, but I want to unhook, so how does it go on 5 lines... or can you ride it 4-line unhooked?

Lee? I think yot mean the guy who told me i was stupid to be thinking about going out. Maybe he never owned a magic kite before? As for un hooked, i un hook 4 line, but i only jst started to un hook and land on my head a lot anyway. I do know the kite re launches way easier in 4 line and i think it flies yay bttr 4 line too!

And about yesturday, had a session from 2 - 3 pm in the arvo
Altho we've all been wishing for good easterlies, we may have wished a little too hard - it was manic out there

i reckon! i put up mi ten today at eastern... thinkn it wasnt to windy. was ok for 5 minutes then it picked up to like 20 knots!! soooo overpowered hahahah :shock:

Jezza & I got out this evening in the 1 footers ( desperate dans ) on 7m & 5m - N.E. is cross-off/offshore in rags... Some dudes were channel chopping earlier on too. It was WINDY!!!

Dad and I were digging out drains in our wet weather gear at 2pm as the water was about to run though the shed.

Digger turned up about an hour before full tide and finally opened the storm water drain to the harbour - saved our place and our neighours that one.

Road to Whangarei is still shut, rain has started to back off tho.

Wind would have been sick on a 5m but 100mm of rain an hour doesn't make for fun kiting.

Swell has jacked up tho - might be '3 foot' by raglan measure - might have to head out for an early one in the morning...

Ian was out on his 4m kite. Army and i suffered on our 9m's - gets a little uncomfortable being suuper over powered
