Hi Everyone,

WSP and Cabrinha are holding a Demo day this weekend on Saturday or Sunday, with Susi Mai. Lets hope she turns up this time!! We will make a decision on when and what day closer to the weekend when we have a more accurate forecast. Keep an eye out here on on www.windsurfing.co.nz

As with previous Demo Days we will have a wide range of kites and boards available for you to try. Susi and Auzzie rider Hudson will be on hand to answer any questions and go over the gear.

For those of you from a windsurf background, Robbie Swift a pro windsurfer will also be there on Sunday to show off his freestyle moves.

Hope to see you there!

Well the wind forecast for Sunday is looking great - for wakeboarding... but not for a demo day. We will have Susi in the shop from 1 - 2 pm today (Saturday) and then plan to head to Shakespeare this afternoon for a kite/demo if the wind permits. Any questions please call on (09) 486 7739.

Cabrinha Switchblade kites and a range of boards will be availible for demo too.

Shakers is pretty sensitive at the moment with the ranger instructed to take photos of riders coming near the swimmers.
He has to do this as a follow up procedure to the complaints from the public.

Maybe have a chat with him to help keep the peace if that is where you are going.

No rangers at Pine Harbour so forget the windless and crowded north shore and head out to Pine Harbour. Yet another day today with an afternoon SW thermal... enough for a 7m kite too. It's been doin this allmost every day... hahahahaha.

Shall we warn Susi about the rocks littered everywhere on the northern end of the bay?

The ranger is not the problem at Shakers, its the swimmers or Kiters kites coming within 50m (2 line lengths) of them. The ranger is great and he's just giving us a heads up thats all. Been dealing with him for years.

I agree with Lee it IS our fault. kiting in amoungst swimmer is not only gay but a pretty worthless pursuit as it's normally shitty wind anyway. It's not the swimmers fault and i wasn't dissing the ranger at shakers. infact the authorities are very reasonable and i have NEVER had any problems with any dudes in charge. what i was saying is that Pine Harbour is free of crowds and swimmers even over summer so is a great place to kite during the hot season.

The channel is like the tamaki estuary but is tonnes smaller... a few meters wide and separates PHP from flat island.. just don't stop any marine traffic... dats basically the only rule that applies at PH.

but from what the windmeters were saying (i was out at Piha today so dats the only means of me knowing the wind on da eastside) it was certainly wakeboarding today. Da nat champ (Jamie) was bangon with his prediction. Tide wrong for Bramley today anyhow.
