Kiwis hit New Caledonia for the last stop of the Kitesurf Pro World Tour (KPWT). Bay of plenty riders Dave Edwards, Marc Jacobs, Torrin Bright, Kelby Bright and Ruakaka rider Su Kay all competed in the Noumea Kitesurf Pro World Cup, 25th November 3rd December.

The main event Freestyle, and also hangtime and best trick were all held at the well-known flat water Le Meridien kite spot in Anse Vata bay, Noumea. The 22km speed-crossing was from Amedee Lighthouse Island, back to the Le Meridien. Wave Masters were held at the outer reef Ouana, a high performance left hand reef break. All riders did NZ proud getting some good results against the Pros.

Marc turned all the croud and riders heads with his freestyle moves, Su laid down some cleans routines against the other women, Torrin stepped it up a level or 2, Kelby was pulling some clean handle passes and Dave put on an impressive power show.

The weather was amazing, wind was 20-25 knots and steady. We had 20 days of non-stop wind, sun and French bread. Full comp and travel story will be in the next Wind and Kite issue.
