How does the self launch work?? Going to look into them now. In the mean time just seems like a mission cos I have the ability to get out most morning if weathers sweet, but no ones out a lot of the time

that place (my local) eats kites!!!

thet best way i have found is to drift launch once in the water and then if there is no one to help land ( and lets face is how many times have you seen some one walk away as you come in ), go to leash and pack up in the water!

oh and by the way who wants to remove that bloody seat the council concreted in the way of the launch!!

chain saw any one.
Getting out there, and taking others with me!

Cheers dude for that. Went out yesterday, this other guy was going out and said he does that exact same thing too.
Ha ha why can't the council consult us on these things!!

I've just started using that last remaining bit of sand to the left of the boat ramp. Watched a couple of people doing the whole pile sand on the end of the kite to hold it down then walk back to the bar and launch it thing. There was a good instruction vid on youtube or somewhere on it too. Landing is still a case of use the safety release on the water and pack form there. Made the mistake once of trying to land it on what looked like sand when the tide was out. One big bang and a leading edge bladder later I knew better.
