Ya gotta laugh, when all the purist paddle surfers are all grumbling about the relentless onshores, and the weather lady on TV says we're having a SHOCKING spring.....

Well I guess they could be right, I'm having to sew shit back together, splice me friggin riggin, repair semi-destroyed boards and start building surfboard MKIII before MKs I & II fully shit themselves. My body is feeling like I've been subjected to medieval tortures,
married life also is in need of some running repairs & me too from so many unhooked, rios,foam-climbs,floaters & slams over the falls. Now I have to knock on the front door before entering or I run the risk of the kids ringing 111 about a stranger danger / home invasion......

Pretty shocking stuff allright, but unlike the one-true-church-paddle-surfers, the grumbling general public & the lispy weather lady;

I am TOTALLY STOKED !!!!!! 8)

How about all you lot? Not much going on this forum, no mention of the freeride

Sounds like you all are getting some down there...wish I could say the same. What sort of seasonal fluctuations occur on the Eastern North Island?
A Great Lakes wiseman once say: 7 days without kiting make one week!

Hi Cruz, in reply to your east coast question; They've had a wee spell of flatness..... I'm not sure how many months exactly - I've lost count.

I've never made the trip over the Kaimais for a session in B.O.P.... The Bay Of Plenty ( plenty of gusty flatness ) is kinda like the total opposite to the Taranaki cape - which is where I prefer to go if I go on a road trip.

Has any one else been getting heaps of waves lately ? I mean kite-surfing waves on a surfboard - not sliding past them on a little rectangular thingy :roll:
