The 2007 Kiteboarding Nationals in Nelson is confirmed.
Dates: 19/20/21/22 of January.

The 22 is a "bonus" day. It means that if there is no wind for 3 days and wind on the monday, we'll run the heats the monday.
If we've ben through the heats during the 3 days, then there won't be anything happening the monday, just freeride.
There won't be any BBQ on the monday, "low key day".

There is a campground next to the main beach. Also a backpacker not far away.

I'll get the Website ready asap and will give you more info within a week.

wots da max age for the juniors devision???

juniours is under 18s. (well it has been in all the past nats)

Not true :!: in 2003 juniors was under 16. Because I was 17 and they wouldnt let me compete . I could only go in the open.

I think under 16 is better for the juniors because there is no reason why a 16 year old cant win the open :!: I came 7th that year.

oh yea i forgot about the 2003 nats. na i rekon under 18s is the best, (its good they changed the age) because of the small amount of juniors in NZ it makes more people to compete against. other wise it would be like how it used to be, a straight final.

Whats the best way to get from the airport to the camp site/backpackers where comp is (bus/taxi etc) ? and how much would it cost approximately?
and how much is the entry fee going to be approx. ? just trying to estimate some costs.

Regarding airport transfer, I called but didn't get any price.
It should be around $15 to $20 max for a shuttle (there are different companies) probably more for a Taxi.
