Crossing to Stewart Island would cool!

Way back when kite surfing was just starting out, three guys rossed the English channel over to France using modified surf boards and Blade I prototypes!!! Now that is hardcore!

Man Jay that is insane where did you hear about that. The thing that scares me the most is the fact that Blades arnt even water launchable kites!!!!
Ive heard of the Blade III's being used to surf but they are 3 generations different.

Actually saw video of it! Think one of the three was Andy Preseton (think that is the right guy I mean) - the dude who writes for Power Kite now and then (usualy crappy stunt kite stuff and design theory)- think he had something to do with the original Blade design. It was a Flexi bunch of guys pretty sure.
