I will move to NZ end of this year. I come from Vienna, Austria. Since number of kg is really limited to carry to on the plane, I wonder if it is a better idea to buy quivers in NZ than in EU.

I am not sure if the price of kites there is more expensive than here in general. Does anyone has any idea??? or experienced these sort of problem.

Generally you are getting a better deal when buying in NZ, one thing is for sure Kites like Naish, Cabrinha and North are NOT more expensive than in Europe.

You would definately be better off purchasing in New Zealand.
Slingshot, Ocean Rodeo, & Globerider pricing is all pretty sharp compared with the northern hemisphere. The current exchange rates will secure you a good deal.
