So, er, when does it start snowing?

I'm new to Dunedin but have a good snowkite background. I guess I'd be heading off to the Old Man range, or the Rock & Pillar. Do you guys tend to hike into a hut and kite from there, or just drive up for the day? Any other good spots in the South Island for weekend trips?

hey i'd defiantly be keen, and could gather a few mates, where pretty amateur though, just new to the sport

but we should pencil something in perhaps end of may, early june and go up old man range!

I tend to go up to the Snow Farm for a day but also watch out around in case we get any big dumps (last year I had snowkie at Leestream)

I dont know if people are still watching this post much, but I am in Queenstown at the moment, I have a kitesurf background, and really want to get into snow kiting, i have pretty much all the kit, am just trying to decide what skis to buy, any recomendations would be appreciated!

If anyone else is based in queenstown or is planning on driving through for a snow kite session, and have a spare place i would really like to come along, I dont think there is snow at the snow farm yet??
