Kite surfing instructor job
OceanXtreme is a kitesurfing school which has been operating for around 10 years now
We are an industry leader in New Zealand and are looking for a kitesurfing instructor to compliment our team.
Training will be given to the successful applicant to learn the OceanXtreme way of doing things
The role is currently a contract role for Sept/Oct 2010 to May 2011 and beyond. Hours worked vary depending on bookings and business requirements. Weather can play a major role in available work - any applicant must be flexible and adaptable and able to work weekends.

Applicants must be / have:
- Mature, responsible and reliable
- Honest and trustworthy
- Friendly, outgoing and enjoy people
- Able to offer excellent customer service
- Adaptable to the needs of a small business in the tourism industry
- A good team player
- Physically and mentally fit to undertake the work required

Key Skills Required:
-Be an excellent swimmer/water person
-Be able to teach and get your point across in a number of different ways (most important)
- a qualification in kitesurfing (a bonus)
- Experienced kitesurfer who can also rescue people
- Good safety record
- First Aid Certificate (a bonus)
- Full, clean Driver’s License
- Fluent English - written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to multi-task
- Some knowledge of New Zealand’s coastlines

Additionally:
-To have knowledge in a number of other water sports
- We encourage all staff to have a New Zealand heavy traffic Driver’s License to assist driving the OceanXtreme kite bus.
- practical experience with motor boats
- Ability to bring any additional skills into the business that could be beneficial for both parties.
