Hey peeps i got a camera and been doin some footage on saturday night and my jumps look way cool.Been doin sum board grabs and one footers.

good to hear to gettin the jumps going fella ,Came up on Sunday (had to do some other stuff as well) and had my gear in the boot but as you probably know there wasnt even a puff o wind .....gutted or well next time maybe

Sat was the best day for wind and nither me nor syMptom nor Blizzad had any hope of getting out there. The wind id just tormenting us all for the start of winter.

We got to do what someone suggested and go to the beach with fishing gear in the boot so the wind has no idea of why were out there untill we get there.

Ya got to get up very early in the morning to fool Mother nature but at this stage i havnt had a kite up since Waikuku and im getting a bit pissed about that so i guess i will try anything to trick the wind gods at this stage
Got myself a 7.0 m Bullet on trade me (thanks Mr Civic for the great deal)should have it by the weekend so if its anywhere between 5 knots and 25 knots im covered .....sweeeeeeeet

My jumping is going all good wit my biggest being 30m long when i was way overpowered.

Sounds like you guys are progressing really well! One footers and the like are getting considered old skool here now by some factions. Its all heading the way of the wakestyle, jus like Ksurfing. Way gnarlier if you bust that shit on land though, then youll get some looks bro!!

Can one of you guys put up a post in the morning (Sat and Sun)for me to see cause with the tides and wind conditions i dont trust the wind site to b too acurate and the price of gas to come on up is getting out of hand so i wanna make sure i dont come up and sit on the dunes again lookin at a beach with no wind cause a beach with no wind is like a Margarita with no tequella..........

The wind was actually excellent this mornin at about 9 and i got a bit of a session in with a bit of jumps.However between bout 10:30 - 11:00 the wind instantly just dropped to nothing and lets just say it was the most EFFING boring and annoying walk back to the house 1km away.

Just been at the rugby and couldnt see shit wit this fog we have so overall today was a big EFF UP!!

Well wouldnt ya know it got a new kite for the "boot full of bullets" (and numerous other flexfoil goodies) and the wind ....well its a bloody vacumn down here at the moment .....pray for the wind everybody... please pray for some wind i dont care from which direction as long as the bloody wind blows

GENERAL UPDATE


So lately the wind has been crap and no one except Southie has had any flying time that i know of.
All in all I have decided I hate winter and its crap wind. Why didnt we follow Rob back overseas? We would at least have got some flying time.
O well im off to swear at the sky and hope for better this weekend.

bugger! that why i asked about the west cost a while back. in auckland if the wind is westly you can drive to the other side of the country ie muriwai beach 40 min way and get 40km of black sand you can drive on!! only it's funny being at the beach with rain/sun and its COLD :roll:

Hey peeps today is looking very promising.Finished skool early cause we hav an open day and now im just lookin out da window waiting 4 da wind to kick in and rite now its about 5 knots with 9 knot gusts.

Well cyas im gonna go pray and its seems to be working so far.

Well todays session was pretty good at times and I saw neil come out for awhile but he didnt stay long.No jumps today because the wind decided to play shitty games as usual and at times i was well powered and next thing the kite was falling out the sky but as it got later it got more constant and overall a good session.

I have to say Saturday is going to be NE but dont know how reliable its goin to be due to the gusty winds we getting lately.I would have to say high tide will be around 6-7 pm so that gives us the whole afternoon of kiting.
Wouldnt mind seeing some other kiters cause its getting lonely being the only guy out there.

I went out tonite and it was pretty strong so i used my 10m but the wind was hell gusty but the later it got the more it increased and the gusts dissapeared.

Lol dat was sum funny shit.I thought it was you and he kept texting back im busy so stop txting me.I was texting back BULLSHIT u aint busy all the tym.haaaahaaaaahaaaaa.That session wa pretty awesome.I stayed out there till after dark and then the wind got freaky wit sum insane gusts because the southerly was kicking in so i packed up nd went home.Lol u should of seen how we rucked up the sand in that area it looked so cool and it was real good for powersliding on for transitions.

The two buggiers of the buggy squad ie me and symptom were working to fund the great sport we call buggying. We can only ever get out on sundays.

Although we might have missed that day we made up for it on monday where we went to a place spig told us and had an awesome session on damp grass. U just slide.

Hey southie and Norwester if theres a Sunday with a nice southerly we should link up at our new spot cause its just great. Heaps of room with rolling hills perfect for jumping and general speed runs.

I have my small kite with me and did a little kiting on the beach in Africa..., but the wind was off-shore and there was athunderstorm brewing...!! Had a good laugh until I caught a good gust that took me almost into the water...ha

So whats this I hear about Poohbear and a new MBS...?? Keep me in the loop guys and I'll let you know how things go here...

She dosnt realise it takes me about an hour and a half to drive from Ashburton to Brighton so that cuts 3 hours off my kiteing time so i had to leave last weekend just on dusk so to squeeze every last ray of sunshine out and then head back to Vegas ..... they just dont understand .....

Nobody is allowed to go kiting at New Brighton this weekend. Everyone will be coming to "buggy spot X" (us angry eyed boys will PM people with a JPEG map, so you can find it :wink: )..... This spot is too good, we don't want everyone to know about it 8)

But seriously, if it is a Southerly, I'm not even gonna look in the general direction of the beach But, then again if its NE and cranking 30 knts plus, I don't think I'll be able to resist the lure of like 20kms of pure golden sand.

Looking forward to a good session...I'm starting to experience withdrawl symptoms...

I agree totally but according to the site that gave me the 30Knt forecast its meant to be NW and the paper says NW as well so its possible we might be at the beach or Buggy Spot X

from what for most was a crappy stay indoors day turned into a full scale kiting session and best of all it was in the snow.

syMptom and i headed round to blizzads and pulled the trucks off his mountain board to make a snow board! Then in the rain we headed round to the park for a spot of snow kiting.

Lol i thought i was the only person hard out enough to try out the snowy conditions.My mum had the day off because shes a doctor and on stike so i had my own driver so i headed done to bexley reserve and ripped it up there.I took my kiteboard and took the fins off and used dat and it was pretty cool except i couldnt fit my shoes in da straps.lol.Then i just had a real slippery session on the landboard.I started working on some surface handle passes cause it was so easy to switch the board around and i figured out the gust pattern aswell.

Well im still stuffed even though i had a nice sleep wen i got home.

Good stuff Southie making use of the crappy awesome weather. Yeah we actually considered taking the fins off some old water skis of my mine and use them at the park. but we didnt do that in the end.

People i sat down and flew my kite but had no control over the direction i was going only sideways. I think someone might have forgot to bring my buggy?!?!?! :? :?
