Ruakaka : I think it a Saturday only for me / weather looks abit dodgy Sunday

Port Waikato : Saturday or Sunday / maybe overnighter

Mooseland : Saturday or Sunday / overnighter

these south easterlies translate to offshore for me.... arge.... I may have to do some offshore kiting to saticfy my thurst for wind power!

i generally get annouyed with gusty inland/offshore winds. but it might be better than nothing at all.

sat /sunday on orewa home of the sand slushy. im thinking about sunday morning but nothing confirmed . i can do 3x orewas to one port waikato , any how the port is in 4 weeks time for buggy racing and maybe raglan inbetween ?!?!

Hey Plummet ofshores are a sweet ride just make sure your lines are in good nick otherwise it can end badly,been there a couple of times but thanks to the friendly coastguard and a bit of a donation managed to get the kite back

this weekends roadtrip goes to PORT WAIKATO, SUNDAY ...dunes and dry sand..possibly a spot of racing practice and maby an enduro....early start but will be their all day...

yes yes i know its on an easterly but it dosnt really matter...the port is big enuff

if enuff people are keen we could do an overniter but that means ill have a hangover on sunday again.

Greek Gods of wind (Aeolus - king of winds. Boreas - north wind. Zephyr - west wind. Notus - south wind. Eurus - east wind)

So on that note I think Eurus was trying to kick our butts today.

I popped a main line in the first 5 minutes with the 2.5m Yakuza GT
so I was a little over powered in 38 knots gusting 40 something.
I changed down to the 2.3m Method for most of the day, still over powered and getting air time
I went back to the 2.5m Yak for the last hour, what a rush
The Dunes are looking good as ever for the BBBB , we covered most of it in short time

hahahaaaaa, what a monster we found to play with today! i honestly think we did well, as kiters today....it was, from time to time really quite skary...
great big chunky gusts would come through forcing you to either run with them downwind into unknown sand, or hold onto them bearing upwind hoping not to get lofted!!
both was as skary as the other untill we found our groove and got to know the bumps and the terrane,
then we just started to barrel throught them, it was awsome...totaly random buggying, everytime a gust comes you either barrel with it, hold on...hit the bumps and see where you end up (this bit was the best, we got to know port waikato pretty well today)
or dig in!!! i tried to dig in all the time to start with coz was to skared to let it go but as i got more familiar with the area you would just roll them out....totaly awsome.stoaked to have been there..
also a testiment to the gannetworks industrial mooselander!! rock solid buggy.

Sun low tide 7.36am NW 19 knots and down to 13 knots by 6pm

This mornings kiting didn't happen the wind was coming in SSE 3 knots at 6.45am

But Sunday is looking Awesome NW 18 to 11 knots

6am start at the kitezone corner shop, I'll be there.

Muriwai Low at 12.41 pm,

But there is a big SW swell coming for this week , not a lot of beach

But I'm keen on going with the kite surfers to mooseland and have a hard sand mission
