look out for the "ouch" moment

interseting i think theres a world sail speed record waiting on ice for someone brave enuf, id like to see ice skateters doin there stuff eh, it will happen.

I followed this guy - Hardwater Kiter - online last summer (their winter). He is an Ice sailor on skis on a quest for speed. Has some interesting experiences.
His recent posts aren't about ice kiting but the ones from March back are.

i might b bias but i dont think fixed sail can compete against kite traction, but im sure were gona find out one day.

Johnie... as much as I might want to back the kites... Greenbirds landspeed record of over 200 kilometers an hour (109 knots) with fixed wing mast is impressive.. I dont think a kite has ever even come close to it... theoretically their ice craft could be a lot faster than the land record holder when they get the right conditions... as you wisely say tho... time will tell!
It will be interesting to see how a flexible kite performs once it gets up to those extremes of speed compared to a carbon fibre wing!

Wheels probably won't do it but looks like fun
