i think the special thing about the moose is that you have to drive 50km up the beach and camp there. no cell phone coverage, no tv, no mcd just kiting and chilling.

thats is all cool. what i'm saying is that you have to commit to time in there. once your there and the tides in there's nto way out. its sort of like forced relaxing time. Also the camping makes it special. everyone has to camp in the same spot!

Re: 51 weeks till the moose 1 year, 6 months ago #25452

I completely agree. Mooseland is a magical place. Spending a few days away from traffic lights and TV and shops treying to sell you crap you don't need. Camping with your buddies, campfires and best of all lots of great kiting. When I describe Mooseland I tel people there is nothing but sand and wind. We take everything we need as the nearest shop is 50kms away and yu can't get there when the tide is in. Its my favourite weeknd of the year. The kiting is fantastic but the people and the camping and the location ar ethe things that really make it.

the next jimmy invention is a camping bed that fits in the scud

foot note : unless your Michelle and you drive up 1 hour before high tide on a 4.1m tide then you can come and go as you please.... what an epic drive !

jimmy we can build you a bed in that scud no problem, i made theone in my van to be perminent but if i had a scud or a rav then i have an idea for a fold down bed that doubles up as a shelf when your not sleeping in it and folds into the roof for when you need to whole space, ill show you one day...totaly dooable in a year, will be ready for the next moose easy.

nest weekend of SW clean wind i'm gonna spend it at the New Moose HQ!
Hmm, to kitesurf or to landboard? That is the question for a kite addicted junkie.
