Its nice being on holiday.
I got home from work on Friday to find a 3m Peter Lynn twister and a cheap stunter waiting to be opened .
Saturday went flying stunt kites with my daughter.
Sunday I put some new tyres on my buggy.
Monday I made some quad handles from an old chair and some foam grips off a scooter. Came out quite tidy, quite pleased.
This morning I made a line set from some odd lengths of line. I have never stitched my lines before. That is so easy.
This afternoon I put them together and went for a ride. Not much of a ride but any ride is good with a new kite. I like small kites. They fly like stunt kites and they feel great when turning. In fact they just feel great.
Yup holidays are good.

what length did they end up ? a few of us are trying to imagine and make a better set of 4 line handles currently, sounds like you are doing the same

my list of wants is bottom exit break leaders to keep the handle shorter but effectively the same, easily adjustable break lines, comfy grip lightish , strong

I made them a bit shorter. They may be too short I don't know yet. Only one session with short lines. I will know when I get a few hours on them. I was thinking of putting the brake leaders right at the tip but I ended up doing it the usual way. I actually found a really good plastic cap at the dump when I was gathering bits. It was on a mop handle and had a heavy duty loop for hanging it on a hook. Unfortunately there was only one.
