I took my gear a couple of years ago to Efate, Tanna, and Espirito Santo. Didn't find too much wind apart from the top NE corner of Efate at a place called Takara where it blew non-stop because the wind is funnelled there past some outer islands. The downside is that the inside of the reef stucks dry at low tide. I know people like Cindy Mosey with access to a boat have hit those outer islands which have some nice sandy areas.

When I was there the trade winds were pretty light, so only the extreme NE and SE corner of the islands were getting kiteable wind. There are sandy beaches closer to Port Vila (the roads are pretty rutted) but they didn't seem to get much wind.

This is the island that would be awesome to kite if you can get permission and transport: Kakula Island

Bugger wrong time, would have been good go with those guys but got some good info, wont be heading up till end of aug.
but should be fun.
