At 07:20 the 30th day of March,2010 Fast Arie shattered his old record of 77.05 mph with a top speed of 82.9 mph at the North American Buggy eXpo, Ivanpah Dry Lake, California!

Flying a Peter Lynn 2.7 Vapor in very high wind while riding an Xxtreme Apexx buggy with Haan wheels!

As the NABX Team was doing damage control to the main event tent Arjen van der Tol, a Dutch rider made his high speed run across the lake bed. Winds were out of the south southwest and fast Arie made his way right in front of buggy town.

Witness knew it was a record run right away and this was confirmed when we saw Arie jumping up and down.

Got a txt from craig this morn saying their best has been 110kmph.

cheers for the update , 110 kmph is a respectable speed.

i got about half of that today in 8 knots..

hopefully the lads can take it even higher as time goes on, but i dont think id be disappointed with 110 kmph

latest... the PL speed buggy has now clocked 115kmph with "fast arie" at the helm

not sure what wind speed he had to work with.

its a damn fine effort, PL seems to have the fastest kite so it looks like its down to buggys, balls and luck....that buggy looks fast, if you havnt already, check out popeyes site for some updates on buggy teck, i think youl agree that the PL speed looks like it has the foundations for an NZfalcon. (MILENNIUM FALCON...FASTEST SPACESHIP EVER BUILT..EVER!!!! ) i dont know why i threw that in their.

ps....bring back the N-gen and teach them howtofly against a real rocketship.

Except straight after doing 115kph in the PL speeder, Arjen jumped in his production Xxtreme Apexx buggy with Haan wheels and did 116kph. No fancy cowling, or brakes and the same buggy he did the 133.4kph in. Would that include comfort and experience with personal gear to the equation?

PS. Have you broken in that fluro orange/pink beast of yours yet?
