The Eltham family kite day is on again for about the 27th time.

It is on Neil Rd just south of Eltham in Taranki.

Mostly single line and stunters but we have the odd buggy and it is the site of the 1996 NZ buggy open.

Starts around 10.30.

The wind is less than perfect but there is usually a nice sky full of kites and it is a nice big paddock with a view of the mountain.

The Watsons will be there and hopefully the legendary Cudby will be along with some of his stunning sport kites. There is usually a crew from Wellington and the locals normally turn out in force.

since its in my back yard i should front up.... do i have any kids birthday parties on that day???? its kids birthday session....
if there's no parties i'll be there with the family.
