Happy New Year All. Great day at the Chateau golf course yesterday (many thanks to the course crew for a well mowed landing strip)

A great day was had by all, the wind was a little gusty and wish washy but we all had a blast. Cheers to Steve, Conrad and Sarah plus all the other kiters who showed.

Have fun out there and may 2010 bring lots of windy days.

nice. did you have an organised event? i was out of this loop.
golf course looks nice and undulaty. i might have to put it on my list of places to kite before i die. i see theres still some tocken snow up there. are you doing any hike to the creator and snow kite the creator action at he mo?

It was organised by the Tongariro Natural History Society and the NZ Kitefliers Assoc. It is a annual event that has been going on for some years now. our attendance was somewhat unplanned.

Thought about a crater mission but it is exactly that "A Mission". I think one will stick to Lake taupo for summer and back to the snow in June.
