5-10knots... launched the 7m Haka first for comparison. Then unrolled the 12m Ygt... and unrolled and unrolled and unrolled it. Launched easy enough, nervously dipped it into the wind and proceed to grunt like a geriatric gardener except with this silly smile on my face.

There is a lot of wingtip to stall... a lot of it so turns will need to be planned very well or run the risk of gybing like an oxcart to keep it under pressure. I can see why the Euro light wind specialists are so braggy about their turning skills.

On 20m using shorter handles it still responded well. Sat very high into the window despite the size. Wouldn't want to get a wingtip in a tangle before landing it

If you gonna have a very big lighwind kit make it a good one. Glad I bought it. Can see myself using it more than planned.

the lines and handles that came with the 12m are pretty good too awesome, we will have to see how the 12m goes against the 7.3 and 6.0 m in a race
home made buggies, OZONE Yakuzza's , Yak Gts, Methods

That's a bit like asking a fella about the notches on his bedpost isn't it?

Anyway... I have been good this year. Sold a lot of my old quiver to pay for new TIG welder, linisher parts, die grinder and new drillpress.

36m of square tubing sittin' on the floor of the shed waiting to be turned into benches and stands for new equipment. Including a frame for a hydraulic tube bend former. Time allows for it 2010 will be a very busy year.

Yes it does not answer your question... doesn't have to. I kitesurf, buggy, mountainboard and even snowkite when I get the chance and I can have as many kites as I need. Yes, I'd love a Manta to replace some of them but right now I invested that money in the above projects.

Anyway you're diversifying a bit ain't ya?

The first step to realizing your addicted is to list all your equipment. only then can you embrace the full glory of your addiction.

don't worry i'm sure jimmy22 is challenging you for kite count. ,... or gannet for that matter.
