well it was ideal conditions for learning. 10-13 knots of super clean brease.

so i took the whole famn damily to the beach and forced the missis to fly.

since the 6m access is the smallest kite i own that was the machine to use.

hooked her in from the outset and went for it. by the end of the session ahe was flying unassisted doing some skudds and even busted a few loops....

pretty good for a first time.

i couldn't resist sneaking in a few minutes of skudding myself.... one arm bandit style.

their must be something in the air this spring, i also managed to get my misses hooked into my little 460arc the other day at muirs, also skudding and even the odd giggle!! awsome, and i know miss carkeek is in the pilots seat also.
ofcourse i had to tell her that my arc is the coolest and most hip kite out i know, im a bad man....
hopefully before long i will strap her into an N-gen and it will be kite love at first flight.

I have no problem getting my misses to fly a kite - getting her to stop is the hard part!

Well its part of my evil plan to get more kiting.

if i can get her kiting then we can do family trips to the beACH. I do abit of kiting she looks after the kids and vice versa....

then every one wins. the kids love playing at the beach i'm getting my fix and the missis isn't pissed that i'm away from the family kiting all the time.

I'm all for getting more women into kiting

I ahve been kiting for a few years now and have seen many a man (including myself) try and get their missis into kiting and most fail, so goodluck guys. Though in saying that there are heaps on women kitesurfer's just very few women landbased kiters, why is this????

Not my missus yet, but my 7 year old daughter has got into it in a big way, the down side is I don't get to kite as much as I'm too busy running around after her

Started her on a 1.6 Peter Lynn Impulse 2 line on the bar, she quickly picked it up and has worked out how to keep herself going down wind on the landboard. I bought an Ozone Imp 2.5m trainer from Butch and she is loving it, I took a harness line with quick relase from an old Ocean Rodeo bar I had and she is now practicing hooked in flying. She is 7 and is picking it up quicker than I did. Wish these kites were around when I started, would have saved a lot of blood sweat and tears.

i've given the missis another shot on the 6 access but its a fine line for that kite to fly well in light wind to be to0 powered for her. she's tiny at 50kg.

maybe i do a similar thing for her and daughter can also have a go when the wind is light.

My wife was playing with the 2.5 on Sunday and she enjoyed it even if the wind was light
