Pedestrians, mountainboarders... even littler buggies! Nobody will want to OBE with you about. In fact it's almost time for blindspot mirrors and the obligatory "if you cannot see my mirrors I cannot see you" bumper sticker.

No wonder you look so tired hauling that around... or is that a satisfied post session expression of bliss?

i would say that buggy is about 34 kgs all up , the big Kenda tyres are LIGHTER than the smaller duro ones and its a carbon buggy

thanks for the heads up buddy, i have no birthdays this weekend , woo hoo . but i feel pretty crap, ill see how it goes, id like to try the 5m blurr. looks like 10-15 knots to me so still a great weekend to have some fun, weather looks stunning. the moose always has its own ideas of weather though so gusts of 25 could still be on the menu

not trying to hold out on you, the guy doing the carbon makes carbon race car airdams and spoilers and will likely make these as a side line too so leaving a bit of mystery in the whole thing and only showing a properly finished result , i would be surprised if a prototype isnt at the BBBB on july 4-5. ill sort you out with something to give an idea in the mean time but not in the public domain, the plug is the nicest looking pic we have currently, gannet put lots of effort into that.

that is certainly glorious..... i need to continue my development of a dune board. i want to float off those lips....

ahhh such tiny kites. you need big float monster kites so when you haul off the lips you float for ages....

i'm presuming over the years perrin has tried all maner of kites in the dunes and found the timy fixed bridles the best. i just imagine the insane airtime i could get if i was hauling round on the manta in that spot.

yea, was blowin pretty hard for big kites...rexton descoverd what overpower really feels like on his 4m rhombus in 25knots, shook him up pretty bad man...he went back to camp and refused to come out for hours!
then my 3.8reactor told me who ultimetly was boss, i had no say in the matter whatsoever.

Awesome video guys, I hadn't realised the dunes up there were so BIG!
I went for a kitesurf at Beach Rd, on a 6m. It was mighty windy that day.

hehehe. sounds like fun. i know i'm overpowered when i have the kite at the edge of the window fully trimmed and am still skudding down the beach. amusingly i can still board in those conditions.

well when i make it to the moose next time i'll have to swipe a buggy and hook my kites to it and give the dunes a fang.

shouldnt be to long now eh guster??
perrins got the roll cage, iv got the camberd rear wheels and rextons on the oldschool silver wheels.
im with you plummet mate, i wanna go flying to but need more moderate winds....thats what the 6.6superblade is for, a spot of flying
havnt had chance to tune it any further yet need to spend a whole day with it and iron out the buggs, could take a while, im looking forward to you input on thatone by the way, hope you make it to bbbb.
what plans do you have for a dune deck? that would be a very,
intresting thing, i have a set of wide barrow wheels you could experiment with
monster deck

theres a dune board lurking around some where o think it comes from japan. its essentially a normal board with really fat wheels. sorta like mini big foots. if i could score some of those wheels i'd be in.

problem will be to get big enough volume wheels and still have a relatively light board. i don't want to brake my ankles every time i get air.

the other option is an old snowboard with a sheet of stainless screwed to the bottom and skid every where. i geuss for this option yourd need to be pretty well powered.

i'll look at you wide barrows. but my initial thought is that the diameter will be to big.

Don't know what's got me more excited. Weekend at the beach or all the new toys(or a weekend out of the garage). So much to test and play with that I might just explode too.

Recognise all your gear up close. It's more the riding style you look out for. Other than Perrin I did not recognise either of your style of hoonin'... yet. Don't either of you have some old PL arcs? If I recall the other boys had a lot of fun on their Venom's at previous Mooses. I'm so tempted to use my surf kites though I'm not tempted enough to jump or crash them over land.

We played around with some and ATB wheels bigger than 12" border on the impossible to use other than straightlining. Steering dynamics and inertia prevent any form of freestyling unless you just plan to Evil Kanevil<sp?> your way around.

yea i got me some arcs, an 1120 and 840 an i cant wait to play with them, im all re-inspired about oldschool depower
i think there gona be awsome dune kites, i just need the 640 and 420 an ill be mooseword bound
plummet i think you need a buggy mate, just a teeny micro one for floating around the moose on, like a plummet undercarrage....
i dont know if iv got a style, i just make it up as i go allong
what new toys, did you ger your now kites??? ooOOOooooooh lets see!

I hear you guys have your powered turns down to a unique style.

Kites are not in my possession but will be at the BBBB. The DP Speeds don't come with lines or handles so I have some of those to make and set up too. Will have some photos of my blue composite parts soon though.

yes a micro buggy... ahhh still i can't justify a buggy for the one day per year i might get to hit the moose. sob.

guster i'm all about evil kanevil air time. for me its about distance float and speed not to see how dizzy you can get spinning like a hair dryer. anyway 10-15kg is not too heavy. my mountain bike is 16kg which i hall through the sky.....

ps i'm pretty good at doing "nothings" when kiting.... hahaha thats usually preceeded by a superman landing on foot manuvour. hehehe.

Al you need to exit those old arcs and enter into newer depower. if you think the old arcs are the shizle then the latest or even 2-3 year old de-powers will blow your mind.

guster whats the deal with buying cheap cheesy lineless kites?

6m ozone access will do 40knots i'm told. on a landboard that is. you might need a 4m access for a buggy at 40 knots.

i plan to find out;}

ahhh. the smack talk. i'll take your fintage float and show you what Glide is all about. the manta doesn't float you it glides you above the earth like some angel wings sent from heven.... hahahaha.....

Cheap, yes. Making the most of this single income, new family + mortgage situation.

Cheasy, not at all. Same factory and designer as a lot of the Ozone kit. Just not as pretty or as branded. Same quality and workmanship though and while it's not a YakuzaGT it's not far off either. I've been keeping up with C-quads till now eh!

Lineless, yes. Many kites are sold without them. Kinda part of saving money and wanting to make my own design handles. I had this design in my head for almost a decade waiting on me to get my workshop sorted and it's got to get out of my head now. Anyway, only ever paid for two pairs of handles. Of the dozen or more I've made I still own 6 pairs which are still in use. Otherwise I have lines aplenty and setting up some specific linesets for the new kites.

Now there used to be this guy making buggies about +5 years ago who had a frameless design. The seat strapped to your butt and had a wheel either side and the front wheel strapped to your feet at the footpegs so your body was the frame... I thought that would be right down your alley Plummet!

Just trimmed the mold flash off my composite axle and the hoop for the LL fork... it's sooooo shiny and blue!
