ok here is the quick review for the flysurfer psyco4 12m

first things first i hve had this kite for about a month now with mostley light wind days and a few highter ones

the kite

most deffentley up to flysurfers standerd all well made no problems here very nice fabric two weeks after i got
the kite got sent the pink lcl upgrade kit. Very nice shorter bridle lot less tangles.set up and pack down stil
under 5 mim each very easy to put up and down little bit linger to pre inflate if you want to. Very fast flying
speed will need a new waterbord this season to keep up with the kite i think.Turing speed much faster the the speed
when was out today there was a guy on a 12 crossbow the psyco seemed to turn faster not by much but was a lot
faster throught the window.Power seems to be simler to most moddern bows little but less than previous flysurfers
but still good. Bar preshure can be changerto soft or hard soft is very nice think thats where il be keeping it

the bar
Tist has to be the bigest improvement to the kite fo me (other than the turning speed)much nicer fulley rotating
5line good fit in the hand weird metal hoke for stalling the kite(not sure if i like this time will tell)much
better safty system with puch away rather than pull and really easy to reasembal alround nice bar

down sites
Have had some minor tip tucking changer the mixer a little and seems to be fine now and even then didnt relly notice
unless looking at the kite. Not as much power and older flysurfers

All round a very nice kite that is very different to most other kites i have flown takes alittle to get used to

Any questions just ask

well the Psycho4 is the most expensive FS to date, even more than the Speed2 (unless you're talking the ligher fabric)... UK price for a 10m is 1099 quid!

will a 10m be less than NZ$3k?

Sorry to state the obvious but:
My name’s Kevin and I’m representing Flysurfer in NZ. I have the small business of Adventure Kitesufing in Nelson, in association with Adventure Paragliding and Hang Gliding NZ Ltd.

I personally have no kiting background and initially only wanted some kites for our local school. However I had the pleasure of meeting with Flysurfer’s team rider Sebastian Bubman during his NZ tour last summer and have been hugely impressed with the team and Flysurfer brand since then.

These kites are indeed expensive. There’s no avoiding this and the direction of the NZ dollar is also hard to foresee so at this stage prices are expressed in Euros. Currently the NZ dollar ranges between Euro 0.46 & 0.48 thus the 6 metre Psycho 4 could sell as low as NZ$2394 the 10 metre P4 around NZ$3083 and the 19 metre P4 for NZ$3852 depending on the conversion rate selected.

There may be some discount on early purchases through Flysurfer dealers and am eager to hear your thoughts as to suitable outlets whether you’re a potential customer or kiting business.

You will already have heard however that the quality of design, innovation, build, materials and performance is very high. Flysurfer has unique, patented features that are likely to keep it a distinctive and competitive designer for years to come.

It is said to be one of the top ten kite manufacturers in the world and along with quality accessories, offers a 6-month warranty, higher and longer lasting resale and durability.

When you consider the time necessary to make a foil kite such as Flysurfer, its price is relatively low. It is constructed in the same manner as a paraglider, which costs considerably more. In fact reviews of the Speed 2 show one rigged for paragliding and performing adequately in this role!

I’m eager to get kites out on demonstration soon but if you really want to accelerate the process in your area, drop me a line.

Regards,
Kevin. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Never mind Dave, you can have a go on my Speed sometime soon, sure you will like it.
The Seabreeze site in Aussie sometimes have reasonably priced used Flysurfer gear, that is how I found mine, give it a go!!!

Sorry to hear Plummet and I know how hard it is to keep up with the latest toyz or even keep the ones you already have. As the season progresses I hope to have demo kites that will go cheaper to good homes but right now have a cash flow problem too!

That said it would be awesome to have a Flysurfer rider in the 'naki'.

Hope you're going well Dixie and that you get good weather for you next days off Brad.

I really believe if you seriously want something, put your mind to it and you will achieve it. In someways money is energy, and energy is infinite.

Best not put a limit on your future income before you get there plummet, who knows what will happen?

Good sales pitch spoon.

your right, if i realy and truely wanted one i would buy it no mater the cost.

for me its about justification. tho great kites i personally can't justify spending that sort of $$. i'll spend it on something else like a garden shed, christmas presents for the kids, paying the mortgage down ect, etc.........

ahh the list is endless...... unfortunatly theres plenty of stuff to absorb my $$ before kiting........

ohhhh. Mortage.... i've been thinking of getting a house, but i wanna do it so that i dont have to work any more than i do! Mid week kiting for me is just too good to miss out on!

We need to brain storm some lucrative plans so we can buy all the kites we like and ride when ever the wind is right!
