Each saturday (wind allowing) I will be at the beach with heaps of flexi stock for people to test ride. Both land and water if your keen.

Sept 20th
Big day ahead guys! Will and I will be out on the water for this first time this season so looking forwards to that.
Followed by some land action once my legs start to hurt. Im thinking ill hit the mountain board at about 3ish.
Low tide is about 2 i think so i expect to see everyone out rocking in this awesome wind!!!

Location: North beach. Right infront of the sea wall if not to many people. Otherwise slightly to the north. Look for the Flexifoil Flag.

It must have been a short one for you on sat before that snow. I would have come down but had to get a warrant on the car then it snowed bummer!!!! Spent the day working on a mini wacko (3/4 dual line delta similar to the psycho) but have run out of materials i.e. 50mm Dacron and 6mm Carbon tube.

Yes it was a short one. and a gusty one at that. But i was there till about 1 before heading home then over to get coffee and organize a snow kite trip with a mate. then it snowed. i should have headed inland today to find somewhere to snow kite but didn't think about it...dam.

Today is just the same as last week. Hopefully some wind tho.

Its 10knots on north beach just been down to measure it. The North Beach windnet canterbury isn't working correctly it displayeds the same wind for the last fortnight. I am heading down to north beach just now!!!

well was nice to get some runs in in a ne'r in mid winter...winter who am i kidding its a nice blue sky out there.

Even did a couple of small kiteloop jumps. all of which ended in softsand skidding but that was fine for the first of more to come.

Today should be able to ride!!! Who else is keen?

heya, should have thought aboot a kite today but ended up going up the airstrip. bet you had the whole beach to yourself you lucky bugger. i'm very up for tomorrow (sun 3rd) if winds working. 11am low tide, but meant to be swest.

will have to find somewhere that works down by birdlings flat for those "wrong way" days. or develope a canopy with a kind of u-bend in it that enables one to travel the oposit direction from the wind :idea: .

Yeah im keen for a session down that way, some of the beaches on the peninsula that face south could be wicked.

Im also really keen to go ride lake elesmere on a sthly.

Yeah your right i had the whole beach to myself and at low tide that was alot of beach!! The storm meant that the water has eaten the sand. The drainpipes that are normally half covered were above the sand. YOu could see under them.

The Blurr is a really nice kite. Went riding along the base of the sandunes just above the little "cliff" that the water has carved into the sand. Even rode from the beach into the peir carpark around the carpark a few times and back out onto the beach.

Then Skypirate showed up and we rode more. He tried out the blurr and i showed him my carpark adventous...and then the tide ate the beach...

But super low tide is awesome. 0.2m low......but like 3.0m high so watch out....

Today...can someone close to the beach give me an update as to what the wind is doing? looks like it might be alright at my house but thats a wee way off the beach.
