whilst we were up at wikuku i overheard somebody saying that theres a worthwhile area down by birdlings flat thats flyable. anyone been down that way before? it's not to far outa my way on route home after work at the mo, so might give it a bash. whats there to ride, is it tide dependant, is it rideable for boards?

yeah i went there on the way home with team ashburton

it was fun.. apart from the road it's probably unridable for boards as it's bumpy tussocky sort of grass and small bushes

it was quite gusty where we launched downwind of some trees but quite steady out a bit

we went on the road that runs to the very end of the kaitorete spit

i tried buggying on the road but it was too close to the trees...
