just had a quick go on a 8.3m reactor

turns good, kitespeed nice, pretty stable, pops out of a collapse good, good pull round the edge of the window.

quite nice really.

might go for a buggy after I finish my coffee....

Yea the reactor certainly is one hell of a kite: I'm gonna call it the "fiddlestick" simply because you can put it wherever the hell you want it, loop it 6 times, pull a wheelie.... Plus when the brakes get pulled on, it goes like stink!!!

@Craig, that 13mtr Guerilla is ONE　NICE KITE. It's so easy to work with, letting me pull tricks in the buggy that I thought unachievable. Got some nice pics of it on Sym's camera, will email them through soon.

Good session at the park, finished up around 7pm after the wind started to ease off.

Trick of the day: Heading between a 5 mtr gap between 2 trees, onto another grass field, then relaunching the reactor from a tree...NOW that's STYLE 8) Only a few hours old and I already put it in a tree.

Kite of the day: Reactor 3m. Nuff said.

Crash of the day: Zenon, mid 360 on two wheels transition to buggy "upside down"

"In progress": Started to work on no handed 360s, easy to do with arcs, but still needs more refinement, footwork is the key I think, pulled a few off, but most ended around in 270s.

Good session, ready for the english exam tomorrow!!!

went for a fun wee buggy with my 20m proto-arc

did some upwind sliding turns, got one nicely, grass was a bit damp

the council has left loose steep piles of sand on the park so i finished trying to drive over a big one, the buggy stopped, i didnt... big shoulder first superman, owww!

then i thought i should test my q/r that I rebuilt. it sort of worked but forgot i had the leash undone.... kite flies over into the fence, 40 mins of careful stitching a nasty hole back together, bah.

OOO damn o well the joys of it a. Will tried simply letting go of his 13m completely and it just floated to the ground. Not forgeting to mention that the wind was only like 3knts.

Craig: you can hardly say that that 13m G2 in your signature is dead its alive and kicking wills arse regually. He was kitelooping it yesterday which was seriously wicked.

Got the no handed 360s nailed, real fun trick. Still need more practice to perfect them, success rate of about 1:3. Also worked on transitions from front to reverse. Wind maybe 10-15 knots, 17 or 18 at the most, BIG clouds hanging around overhead

Now I have a new policy: I won't leave the house for anything under 13 knots

No handed 360's will be simple ill do them on my balde to show you up once i have a buggy that is.

Whats the comment about earlier about pulling tricks you thought unachievable??? what have you done so far that i havent apart from the no handed 360???

hi will, yeah the 13 is/was nice i quite liked it,

the new release is average, lot better than the old ones, easy to pull but the pin doesn't rotate itself easily, think the pin is too straight. gonna try a cabrinha one next i think

today was 13m venom1 tt wave slashing goodness at da beach. 3 hr session so soooooooooooooooo tired.

be careful letting an arc go altogether, i had one float over park road and building at about 50 feet like a parapente with the bar hanging perfectly

Quite a nice 10 minute session today. Got in a couple of nice loftings... plus a very wicked little 360 at the end. Only metres away from the photographer 8)

Anyway, there are perfect tide patterns this weekend for some hardcore land kiting in Chch: -

Sat: Low tide at 14:46 (ride time from 11:16 to 18:16)
Sun: Low tide at 15:38 (ride time from 12:08 to 19:08)

2 full afternoons of wide hard sand... Now if only the wind will blow for us..?? Current forecats is all Southerly, all weekend, but we know better than trust the forecast.... don't we...?

The wind has been a languid westerly all morning, but it has started to swing south and easterly. I predict that it should go easterly around 2pm and build from there...

Quite a nice session at the park today. Not too frustrating, but not enough to get going properly either.

Really good opportunity to test out the new V2 bar. Also, good to test out the new seatbelt padding system. Both of which are awesome. I can do SOOO much more with a longer bar throw, including turning the kite faster...

Now just gotta get the wheels sorted and footpegs on, with a quiver of scorpions and I'll be set!!!

Yeah yesterday (Sunday) was awsome for paragliding. I got my new paraglider and took it for it's maiden flight between Castle Rock and the Gondula top station. What a flight - caught thermals up to 2300 feet and still climbing!

I was going to come kiting in the late afternoon, but a friend was paramotoring over the water between Sumner andthe Spit when his throttle control slipped out of his hand and fell through his prop! Luckily he made it down OK, but on the Spit, so I had to spend bloody ages driving round to pick him up!

Was it a good session?

syMptom: Blizz is in Ashburton today and for most of this week so he aint going out with you. i will if there is wind after dinner at like 8.

Blizzad: can you please get a couple of meters of Blue chikara and possibly some black and white if you think the supply is getting low. I am going to do more taping and cutting of plans before work at 4 then more tonight if its not windy.

sounds like you got lucky there Jay - nice one! but be warned, you'll waste a lot more time chasing it and waiting for it to come right in paragliding than you ever will in kiting! (I had just five minutes airtime over little river on sunday, sat on the hill most of the day wondering if it was windy in town!)

We are going to need more. I have to cut 12 panels out of blue and mason still has to cut some for the other tip which as you say is UNFINISHED!!!
So if you wouldnt mind please get me 2meters of material i will give you the money for it if you really need it.
