WARNING...

To all kitesurfers using Pine Harbour.

Occupants of a late model, black, Ford Explorer were observed over the weekend interfering with a kiters vehicle while parked at Pine Harbour point.

Thanks to the kiter who took care of the situation at the time.

Please do not hesitate to report any such incidents directly to the police as quickly as possible.

Who was the kiter who "took care of the situation"?

Come to think of it PHP is the safest beach to kite at in this regard as you can keep an eye on your car whilst on the water.

At PHB (Pine Harbour the Beach) and FI (Flat Island) you can't see your car whilst on the water (unless you happen to jump very high at Pine Harbour or insanely high at flat island).

Never you mind thrasher...

One correction, it was a grey explorer. But these little homos are often also seen in a black explorer.

The real disapointing thing about this incident was that they guys that did this are kiteboarders. Yes thrasher they are your forum buddies from eastern beach driving daddys car.

I am a firm believer that what goes around comes around. Probably best to leave daddys car at home for a while guys or you might have some serious explaining to do.

PS. Might pay to stay away from the spit this weekend as well.

Anyway I really doubt the Eastern Beach groms would be stupid enough to steal from other kiters... especially ones that they kite with on a regular basis.

You guys really seem to have an issue with the young fellas. Blaming them for everything, just because they have zeal for the sport. And many on here have an issue with the young at heart too i mite add.

And don't diss em because they use their parent's car either. i think it's great that their Dad's have shown an interest in their passion and often i see them out there launching and catching kites at EB.

They are the the most exciting thing to happen to the East Auckland kite scene for as long as i can remember.

Hey Craig i've spoken to Blair and i've told him it wasn't the smartest of things to do.

but guess what it wasn't Blair who threw the pie. It was his cousin. i agree it was pretty stupid thing to do but the first impression i got when reading this post was that there were some thieves out there nickin gear out of cars.

I'm very relieved it was just a prank done with a pie... as stupid and dumb as it was it's not as bad as getting you gear stolen.
