Dunno but i'm keen on heading over there for a kite and finding out next time you guys go. Also i'm keen on getting a group of us over to Waiheke and kiting surfdale in a SW. Those island spots look pretty mint. What's Great Barrier like?

im keen on heading to motuhei for a kite, check if it is any good, also keen on headin to waiheke, plus theres no crowds over those spots :twisted:

motuhei island is a couple of miles off eastern beach in the hauraki gulf, between eastern beach and waiheke

motuhei - and SE of rangitoto, got a nice big south/west faceing beach, you just need a boat to get there.

nothing the old thundercat cant get across to, we can even kite there :twisted:

any eastsiders up for a trip to the mount, i've got a bach there that sleeps about 10 or so right by the main beach,
boys only need apply, not cause i'm a fag or anything ,
just want a weekend away from the missus. :wink:

whats the mount like as a kiting location?

i haven't kited there but its meant to be pretty good,
the top 2 juniors from the nats come from there so it can't be too bad

ive done the island both sides, ive done west bay in a offshore 2 after kiting on the northern side all day i walked through the gap beyween the pine trees with the kite in the air,dont try that at home ok,its a great place go 4 it.

cool, might be heading out the the island in the upcoming school holidays, guess i wont be the first to kite it after all

I'm on for this coming Sunday dude!!!! Here's hoping for 20-25 knots NE or SW (preferably SW) and without these ugly showers.

im headin down to ruapehu for a snowboard next weekend, but ill be definately headin out to motuhei the weekend after or some time throughout the holidays
