Hi there,

If you're serious about the competition, you might want to check out the GENERAL GUIDELINES:

www.hyundaikiteboarding.co.nz/rules.html

See you all in Raglan,

Delphine

PS: I'm not starting a debate here, I'm just informing you of what the judges and the organizing committee have decided.

Are you sure we can't debate I mean I've found one big inconsistent thing already, wouldn't you like to get it out of the way now instead of at the event?

From the guidelines:

- Originality is good. (Moves that other people aren't doing).

I got heaps of moves other people aren't doing....do they have to be on purpose?

It still does, Right next to the sponsors logo, Rule#1 !

Maybe a few precisions to the Rule about Suicide Leash, I guess:

A suicide leash is denomination for a leash attached to the Chicken loop on a standard kite. When the kite is leashed this way, a classic kite keeps power when released and is therefore dangerous, therefore forbidden on this event.

Suicide leash is not suicidal anymore on the kind of flat/bow/whatever-you-call-it kites, since when leashed this way and released, the kite will loose power and fall from the sky without pull.

A leash attached to a 5th line is not in the suicide leash category because it will depower the kite.
all we do is Portnawake

I always ride on suicide - direct to the chicken loop... Looks like I'm out for a duck.

Kiteboarding is dangerous, no matter what leash attachment you have.

Forums I believe are specifically used for debate / information sharing.

Uh oh! Borderline whinging; cause for disqualification
