This stuff is called urban parkour or yamakasi and is done all over the place. I have a friend who is doing his PhD on it. Both useful and relevant. Pretty cool stuff though - TAKING MEN'S GYMNASTICS FROM THE UNITARD TO THE STREETS!

Wow, I recognise some of the spots - Shell Centre, South Bank London.

Where I used to street skate - The stainless railings at the end of the vid (the gonz gap it was called) were put up to stop people skating the ledges and now these guys are doing this over them ha ha - I love shit like that!

Ah skating at South Bank. The first time I went there was one weekend in the summer of 1989, supposedly to see the Bones Brigade at Romford. When we got to Romford there was absolute chaos and we couldn't get in so we went to South Bank instead thinking that the would have to turn up at such a well known spot.... I think they did, about an hour after I'd had to leave to catch the train back to Cambridge.

Watch Animal Chin 30 times after waking up then off to watch the Bones Brigade 30 skaters in one tube train carriage. Shame you missed them - I vaguely remember chasing them around London that tour and sessioning with em at South Bank - grabbed bank blunts, bonelesses, wallrides and all- they were gods in my eyes!
