Come on guys.
You've got 2 weeks left to registrer for the Nationals. After that the price goes up.
So hurry up!

We need to know who's coming (how many of us) so we can make sure we have enough bacon & eggs for breakfast as well as meat and beers for lunch!!

So no more hesitation, send your form & money: come and have fun with us for 3 days during the Nationals in Raglan.
Doesn't matter if you don't want to compete, join anyway!

We have 21 registrations for the moment.

I know a lot of people who are coming but haven't registrered yet (BAD!!).
We expect about 100 riders.

Not all of them will compete though. Some just want to be part of the fun and don't want to do the heats.

We have 5 girls registred yet! Quite good.

But no one from Nelson has regsitred yet... Do they know about the comp'??

Go Girls!

Hope the number of women entering this year gets into double digits... looks promising if 5 women have already entered and none of them are from Nelson - I hear there's some talent racing around on the water there. Sue, Wiebke and Co. - you coming up?

How about the rest of NZ? Is there a crew coming up from the deep South - Craig and Wanaka crew?

Looking forward to seeing Fiona over from Oz - anyone else coming from over the ditch or any other countries?

Slingshot Freeride in Raglan was a blast - NZ Nationals is going to fantastic fun!

Hope to see you there!

Yes I will be taking time out from the important business of tying kangaroos down to enjoy the pleasures of RAGLAN!!! Can't wait! Can't wait! Is it April yet? I will of course spend my first day in the country lolling about in a sea of proper right-thinking person's chocolate to acclimatise (the aussie stuff is lower fat to prevent it melting, tastes a little like wax) but after that it is all on!

One question..will I need a jersey/wetsuit?

Unless the Chocolate goes straight through your lips onto your hips and other parts of your body as a THICK layer of fat - then yes jersey and wetsuit and probably the fluffy pink beanie I have - that used to belong to you - will be required.

Who els is coming?

Well there is me and i think lachie is coming over too, (weetbix is in the states for 6 weeks) and I am not sure about anyone else from aussie. I understand that angie came over last year with paul but I haven't seen either of them since mambo, although I might see them if i go the wave titles at kawana in april.

Um and I think that's it

Good on ya Craig!

Two more girls entered today too! That should be bringing it close to double figures in the women's division hey Delphine?!

Also hear that Charlotte Simsar who's been instructing in Auckland and amazing the boys with her riding is still going to be around and entering - she's entered some international comps and placed, so should pick women's riding level up this year. Good on ya Charlotte! With Fiona's style that she's picked up in OZ (Seen the vid Fi - nice inversions and grabs!) and the international talent on hand it's going to be good watching the women's division this year!

Are you ladies from Nelson coming up?

Cheers

Su

Plus one more (ex-Remuera) girl from Sydney who is just checking dates but I think will be coming. I believe the young people would say that 'she rips'. If this is a good thing then I think it is accurate, she is teeny weeny and quite awesome at the whole kiteboarding malarchy. Sycophantic enough yet?

For those of us who get knocked out in the first round..is there somewhere else to ride, or is the whole area designated for the comp? And can I just confirm..the wooden spoon is just a phrase, yes? Cos if someone actually whacks me with a spoon things could get untidy.

Thank you su for your nice feedback about my vanity-clip. That was about the last time on the water for me, as other obligations have required more attention recently. It was a fun day - and I was impressed that a kiter as lazy as me made the effort to invert at all. Actually, it was such an effort I am still inverted now, but I imagine I will straighten out in due course. Typing is tricky, and milk keeps going up my nose. But it was worth it.
