Hey guy's,

A mate of mine just got himself a kick arse camera and he took some shots at Brigton Beech and the Estuary on Saturday.

As you can see they are great shots, and seeing is he love to get a return on his camera if anyone wants a high quality proof of one of them you can buy them (or you can just perve at them like I do)

Looks like it was a great day to be out there!

Some great pictures there of Saturdays epic session... Some sweet riding and massive boosting going on that afternoon...

Disappointed to see some Blokarting photos but no Landboarding photo's, even though we were only riding for a short time due to being vastly overpowered... Next time maybe...

[hi, I'm the camera guy]

I was at the beach for only about an hour or so and don't remember seeing any landboarding close by - sorry if I missed ya.

How often are there people out at the beach and the estuary? What's the wind most likely to catch people closer to shore and finally, is there an active after work contingent?

Cheers - Neil G

Landboarding is best around low tide for obvious reasons.

People are usually out on the water as soon as the wind registers over 10knots from the east (see www.windnet.co.nz), ideally the northeast sea breeze, but anything from the SE to a northerly will do. Southwest or Northwest are no good as they're offshore and gusty.

The estuary usually gets stronger wind than the beach, with kiting a few hours either side of high tide. The beach works best a few hours either side of low tide, although it is possible at high tide - there's just not much beach left, plus there can be a lot of wave action working against you.

Distance from shore depends on where the camera is - it tends to attract attention.

Active after work contingent? If you mean kite action then just watch for the wind and keep your eyes on the horizon when close to the estuary or beach. If you mean social action then I believe the Kazbah at North Beach attracts a few, especially after a Friday session.

Nice work with the web site.
