I thought this was a kiting forum.

Why don't you go and touch yourself in front of a fishing forum?

Re: a whole lot of snapper! 6 years, 4 months ago #7323

let's see. fish live in the ocean, kiters kite on the ocean. when a kiter catches a fish from the ocean not far from where he kites, this is relevant to both him and the fish. when a fellow kiter catches the biggest fish of nz's prize species that anyone's ever heard of, that is presumably relevant not just to kiters but everybody who respects mother nature in general and the dazzling ocean in particular.

if you're such a hard core kiter you can't bear a word about generally related topics, guess what? you can change channels.

When you set up this forum I thought it was a kiting community discussion board. A site where a whole lot of kiters, many of whom know a lot of the other kiters who read this forum could talk about anything. I reckon the problem is many are so focused on their kiting lives they are vacuous when it comes to any other topic, stunted. He does have a point though, if your gunna be rubbing one out over a big fish there are probably special sites for that. Yip snapper is special... on a plate. Best I ever had was when I rocked up to the mangawhai speed event '97 or so and that normally grumpy Wigglesworth cooked us up a fresh snapper breakfast, with lemon and all, then was too hung over to eat much of it.
Yet another monotonous sunny NE day here.

yep, say and do what you like! as long as you don't rattle anyone's cage by casting aspersions about their sexuality etc, or bore us insane, or land me in court, fill your boots i say.

no-one has to read a word of this bilge, god help them if they did - and if any of you pee-wees actually do anything of note, tell us about it and i for one will celebrate it.

I went grocery shopping the other day, scored some all-time record-sized kumara & now that stoned fruit have become lusciously in season got some big-arsed peaches to suck.

Thought briefly about cross-dressing, then thought again, wasn't sure if the big hairy fisherman was looking at me or the little swedish tourist in aisle 3....

Having rednecked thoughts today, visions of hacking things up, cuttin things down, researchin' whales, burnin' some rainforest..... thought i'd better check the kiteforum to see what all my other brothers & sista's in arms have been up to....

Love you all you fricken little freaklets, keep up the bollocks & never mind the sex pistols

nice to know you've got a little balance happening in your life - amazing as it is too me that you're still alive after witnessing you and jeremy out the back of aotea harbour on sunday.

admittedly i was also fooling around in the waves myself but to be fair i was terrified out of my wits. at least we had straps on our surfboards - jezza was running his with just a little wax and the grace of god.

then, as you know i got my car a hell of a stuck in the sand, which led to many more wild adventures and far out times with the locals but i won't bore you with these as they are not kiting related.

how was marakopa? can't have been too good for you to be back on the keyboard so soon, or did the family overthrow the patriarch's iron fisted rule - oops getting off subject again.

Aoteas a terrible place, just too dangerous, don't ever go there.

If you don't get stuck in the sand & attacked by locals, you could be sucked far out to sea and eaten by the real locals ( Bronze Whalers and the occasional transient Great White.

Jezza has seen the light, found the one true path......

Unstrapped on a surfboard is WAY closer to surfing than any other form of riding.... Those straps are just getting in the way of the rider truely riding / trimming the board.
Having said all that I'm in the straps right now 'cos I'm doing airs off the lip and haven't got ollying sussed yet, and I am too greedy for waves to be chasing the board after a fall .....

Marokopa was cool, Kiritehere POWERFULL west coast grinders, but swell was too intense, so went back to Aotea & scored a solo suckers session - fun shoulder high play time.

Good to see the great white {chicken legged} hunter make it down this way.....

see ya nex time bro'

in the very unlikely event anyone is remotely interested in my fishing exploits the terrible full story of my trophy snapper has been published in this month's NZ Fishing News available now nationwide. it's not for the fainthearted as there's a double page photo spread of me and 3 pages of lies, but there you go.

Nice article buddy!
Some initial comments however:
1/ I'm holding an 19lber not 15 ya schmuck!
2/ I paid for the booze
3/ the other snap shot was from a Tiri expedition. Sorry to expose you bro but hey, poor form
4/ I'm suing for character assassination....
5/ where's my share of the loot?

Re: a whole lot of snapper! 6 years, 1 month ago #8393

1. that was a 15 pounder you cretin. you caught the 20 pounder the next day which i have also recorded ad nauseum.

2. i paid for all the booze / food / ice / half the fuel and oil.

3. no-one made any claims about where / when your ugly mug was photographed.

4. bring it on and i'll show you some real assassination.

5. where's payment for your share of the expenses plus payment for my time and expertise in marketing our fabulous adventures?

6. get a job.
