good music, great barbie, epic surfing footage the only serious downer of the night was the hippy's ridiculous video dj project, which showed early signs of greatness but failed to deliver, not unsimilar to his fantastic but unidentified floating object the next day.

my highlight of the event was climbing mt. karioi in the noon day sun, sweating out many litres of poison, finding not a single knot of wind on the summit and then finding everyone out whooping it up on the harbour mouth late afternoon in a building westerly. the sight of 30 dancing kites over the bar brought a tear to my eye, and mutterings down at the sportfishing club.
