What's the go with Jardines in Queenstown I used to go windsurfinig there 10 years ago when I was up from Dunedin I now live in Wanaka and came over the other day for a sail but noticed the big ( you can't miss it f-off "Authorised Access only" ) sign so I went to Wye-creek. Anybody from the Q-Town area in the know ??? Also does Kingston ever work ???javascript:emoticon(':?:')

I was down there a few weeks ago and noticed that sign.

Massive swathes of land along that side of the lake are now being fcuked up by greedy wnaker baby boomer/foreigner developers.

Would be a pity to lose access to the lake there, it's just so good. I think it's a case of bowl up and ask the farmer, then ring for access permission.

It seems like times are a changing.....

From what I've been told we've never had a "right" to use Jardines but the land owner has let the windsurf club have access. It's a big lake.

Jardines is a great spot, defo the best in Queenstown. Only members of the local windriders club are allowed access tho, the club has an arrangement with the farmer.
