that way we can get some more sea breeze out of this high that seems to have parked its ass over us. That water is so darn warm in Auckland that you can swim in it now without a wetsuit. Usually October water is pretty cold still but this high is heating that water up and that is ruining our sea breezes.

So i suggest we get a couple of massive icebergs from the antarctic and stick em off the east coast of the north island (off northland). This will chill that water out and get that sea breeze crankin again.

In failing that we can allways stick a giant magnifying glass over the pacific with its focal point centred on auckland (cos thats the focal point of any problems during extended periods of high pressure cells). The beauty of this system is that we can steal the suns energy from places like OZ and the tropics so they won't have any (OZs wind in summer is thermal driven and needs the sun). We will be the envy of the world.

Now do we have any volunteers to get system like this set up?

failing that, shall we all give thrasher a golden shower? this could have some local effect of eliminating so much hot air rising into the atmosphere and playing havoc with our sanity.

The bible talks about God withholding rain to punish Isreal... but he never said anything about withholding wind to punish NewZealand now? ... or did he.
