Only if you're a blonde, big breasted hot chicky babe... Otherwise your post may be more suited to findsomeone.com....

Hey dude!

Same story here. Pretty much a beginner. I'm also living on the shore. Would be cool to do some exploring of kite spots with a buddy.
If your keen send me a txt. 021 260 2450

Hey kitemad,

Raglan is on this weekend.
Contrary to all negative things people say about raglan being dangerous... if you treat the place with due respect it is a very good place to learn to kite - you can progress very quickly here because of the massive amount of downwinding available.
I don't know how all those Auckwakkas manage to learn in those shitty onshore conditions, that looks real dangerous to me.
Ideally beginners at Rags should use the last couple of hours of the outgoing tide.

Ask the locals if you need some advice.

Send me a private message if you would like to know more.

Yeah, j babe;
Go to htpp://metservice.com/default/index.php?alias=raglancoastal

Check these for wind, metservice.com/default/index.php?pkey=19...&ckey=193919 look for Port Taharoas reading.

weather-display.com/windy/otherdat.htm also gives a good idea of whats happenning.
Raglan (without a D) is good in SW-W-NW.
Best to go out powered, i.e. able to relaunch your kite in deep water
