A very important bit of information for the Working kite surfer..
If there are any..

As of Monday we gain sunlight !!! The sun starts to set later in the evening.
Day light savings is only 3.5 months away ..

Summer is on its way.. lol

Maybe we gain some light from Monday but the worse is yet to come (the cold...). More light, more cold ... until september.
Boooooo...

Could be worse
We could be waiting 3 months for the ice sheets to melt.

Uli.. I did get your message. What pictures do you want?

Well ... that's almost it
Saying so, it'd be better to wait for the ice to melt... It would mean that snowkiting would be possible...
Right now it's cold enough to be annoying but without snow (an no wind anyway). A kind of useless cold!

You are right Madness, we are on our way to summer. Nevertheless the Working kitesurfer will kite even the night if the conditions such as last friday are good and the moon is shining .......

Thanks for the pictures of the Queen s birthday.

Jamie and I came in when their was fark all light left.
I had my 4x4 brights on you in the water.
When I left I was convinced you were going to be in the paper the next day.

It was a good night on the water. I heard Orewa was packed once again.

Only you me and Jamie on the water all arvo.. !!!

I counted 7 kites out at raglan today, all locals and handling the gusty 20-25 kt S.W.
Scary waveriding on the bar & up at the point (6-8, ft biggest I've ever kited up there & no surfers screaming F#%$ off for a change !)

Theres some working kiteboarders down here, all looking forward to summer but enjoying the winter too.
It's so consistant here that going snowboarding seems like a foreign concept. Good to break the kiting up with surfing now & then, although kiting makes you lazy for all the paddling required.

Done lots of moonlit surfing, not too sure about moonlit kiting in Raglan - maybe if the tide was very low it would be O.K.
