What are the chances of an event like this getting off the ground? If so how do you guys reckon we'd do?

I had this discussion with a few kite surfers in South Africa earlier in the year. The SA guys were well keen on the idea. It would be a great event as the 3 countries have good conditions for a comp. One country hosts the comp per year on a cycle of 3.

I just had a laugh as Blownaway posted the same question on the SA www.ikiteboarding.com website..

Reply was Do sheep not get water logged when in the sea???

With a comment like that, I would say its all on..

Its hard enough organising a comp.. let along a tri nations..
Great idea though. Need some one to make it happen.. !!

Hey Madness the ozzies are keen as well. As yet i haven't heard any kiwi replies (apart from you but you are a SA). R the kiwis scared they'll get their ass kicked? This sheep is too fat to sink and besides i've just posted my reply to that comment about the sheep. Let's show them that these sheep are not gonna be IN the sea... but high over it

As for making it happen... we'll leave that to the Christchurch boys.... they are getting very good at hosting nationals now and besides... when it's NZ's turn to host this event i'm sure the Poo Pond is gonna be the venue... maybe a bit of estuary flu may be some sorta payback for the All black getting food poisoning in a certain event that took place in SA in 95?

Just incase it's held in Auckland though I'm gonna have my 12.5m c Quad and 12ft windsurfing longboard at the ready.

95 ay.. that's what happens when you eat real meat.
Next time the Kiwis tour SA, they should go down to Browns Bay and line there stomachs with some uncooked overly spiced Bilton.
Sounds more like an excuse for being on the turps the night before.

Yes, Ja, jy maak my sommer lus!

Tri-nations sounds like a great idea... but what happens to all the Saffas living in Oz and NZ and all the Kiwi's and Ozzies living in SA, oh and all the Ozzies living in NZ and the Kiwis living in Oz?! Oh and then there are all the Poms living in all three countries who'd probably want to participate too...

Go Bokke, uh Lions, uh Kiwis :?

Happy kiting

Su K

Clearly none of you are kiwis cos you haven't pointed out that sheep don't in fact sink. Clearly not a lot of dippers amongst you lot. Surely you've all seen dipping on country calender....you think there's a little sheep escalator hooking them buggers back out again? In fact you have to push them under the water with the Pole to make sure they get fully dunked.

I'd demonstrate, but I live in Australia....
