On Monday afternoon the 28th February 2005, a red and white kite surfer
kite was found floating in the Weymouth area of the Manukau Harbour. The
kite was recovered from the water by a member of the public. The finder
still has possession of the kite at his home in Weymouth for the moment,
but the Maritime Unit will arrange the uplifting of it, if no owner is
found in the next couple of days. For information of local stations should
it be reported lost for insurance purposes. Please refer any complainant to
