I'll be emmigrating to Wellington in February next year and wondered what the quality of kitesurfing was in and around the city.

What sort of kit are most people using? Is there a 'standard' size kite that people are never without? Where is the most popular spot?

I'll probably be looking to buy my kit once I arrive, and have a couple of hours training / familiarisation on the kit too. Can anyone recommend a good shop (NZ wide) that would offer this?
