I would like to have gone to Omaha as that my favourite spot !!
I first headed down to Takapuna as thats my local, however the tide was up and from the chat the night before.. most of the guys were going to Orewa. I had a great session even though it was the most packed I have ever seen it. However... there was plench room out back or down the beach. The waves were great.

25 kt, sunny and deserted was what we had at eastern. i've been to orewa when it's been half pumpin and it was so freakin crowded. Same as shakers. 95% of ak's kiters kite at 5% of the beaches... the rest of the beaches are deserted :wink:

i guess all that traffic does have it plusses after all :wink:

it was good hu. didnt the windsurfers look weak,just another water hazard i reckon, still i had some rabid runs up the inside of the bay,soooooooo sweet,ive been off the water untill 2day, a short blast at st helliers confirmed a tweaked groin but i doubt it will keep me off the 2morow, and orewa is the target. 8)
