Not a very extreme day with small swell and 16ish knots but fun none the less.

Nice video Plummet
Hmm, to kitesurf or to landboard? That is the question for a kite addicted junkie.

I busted a few rotations out by mistake carving to hard up waves faces. then thought i might as well try them for real. in thruth they are pretty easy. I have never been one for freestyle but with this water business its very low risk compared to landboard or mountain biking.

I'll then take the tricks back to the land.

yeah my toe side is gay i need more practice on chin skimming lowness before i unleash it on vid.

cheers Jimmy. Feeling the urge to jump in the water again? certainly its nice on a hit summers day to be belting around the ocean. you know those inflatables are a lot safer than the bad old days that you learned on.

yeah i know must be 5+ years ago i last owned my 15m Fuel II, at least i got my money back .

If i go for it id say a 12m2 Ozone Catalyst and a big board should get me going. I still have my harness. and now i can see on the water which is another sizable bonus

12m and 8m combo

or 10m one kite quiver....

or 8, 10, 12, 17...... hehehe.

But you might find since your used to high aspect kites yourd prefer the Edge.

The big advantage i find in the water compared to the land is that it generally doesn't matter what the tides are doing.

combine it with land kiting and dammit you can go out almost every day if you have the time.

ill try to get a go with one or two of them one day and that should sort out the dilema, its a back of the mind thought currently. i have lots of time to work it out while i buggy, maybe set up for the 2011-12 summer. Board advice for sub 80 kgs , i very much doubt ill free style apart from switch 180s and front and back rolls. i can tow side and ride goofy or natural foot so i guess twin tip is the go ? Unlike my buggy stuff im not as interested in going fast on the water, i think its a good place to ride waves and do a a few simple tricks etc. kinda Kite-Surfing i guess, go figure

The industry standard board is a twin tip 135x40. solid thinking would be to start the learning process november and learn through summer in the warmer waters and more consistant sea breazes. bag a go on some inflatables and fly them in your buggy to get an idea. The sle's have huge depower so would make for an good buggy speed engine. i recond a 7m edge would be a contender for supper fast buggy speeds in 30 knots. just pull bar in and go fast. let bar out when drifting sideways too much... find middle ground and haul.

PS jimmy that was my first idea. get out on the water so i can kite when the tide is in. spalsh around abit and have fun but leave the serious goals to the landboard..... now those goals on the landboard are also being thought of for the water. distance. speed. crazy adventures and races.....

No pangs of social conscience for corrupting another buggier? First NorthenAl, now Jimmy22. FatOldWhimp is really going to start ripping into us if we keep this up!
